Unlocking Body Intelligence: Mastering Wellness with the SHEVA Method

Let’s continue with the Body:

Is it the mind or the body that reacts first to incoming information?

Sometimes it is both at the same time, like in an extreme crisis fight or flight in the first chakra, (base of the spine). The issue is if we are in a state of flight or flight a lot of the time the body will start to break down physically. If high anxiety from too many disturbing thoughts continues the body will wreak havoc on your nervous system.

The key is to recognize the cues, triggers and what the body is trying to tell you. This is called body intelligence! The Sheva Method body work provides a very simple way to connect energetically to the body’s rhythms and flow through the meridian and chakra systems.

I want you to think of your body as a physical communicator providing vital information for better health, balance and well-being.

Being physical through Yoga, Running, Sports, Biking or walking are all good. However, this is a deeper dive to see where you might have some physical blocks of energy relating to emotions, past trauma, etc. I call this body work (my check in).

For instance, if my lower back is tight might be related to lack of self-worth, guilt or shame. Upper back carrying the weight of the world, hips could relate to fear trauma. We all have these emotions and some carry more in their body than others…

What this body work offers are a way to get in touch with the flow, so you can breathe through all of these potential blocks and get on with your day.

A simple example for the lower back is to have a mat and roller. Sit on the mat and put the roller under your knees and round your back so your head is close to your knees. Stay there for 20 seconds and breathe. Inhale exhale slowly roll back up and do it again until your lower back releases with your breath.

Please realize that the breath is most important for release of tension in your body…
